Welcome Beekeepers! You'll find lots of friendly advice here to help you become a beekeeper -- or become a better beekeeper. Got a problem? Give us a call. Someone within the group will have an answer, or we'll help you find it.

The New River Valley Beekeepers Association was founded in 1998.  The primary goal of the organization is to aid local beekeepers in managing their hives.  Monthly meetings are held to provide information and foster relationships.

Visitors and guests are welcome at meetings, held the second Thursday each month, 7:00 p.m., in the Community Room of the Montgomery County Health and Human Services Building, 210 Pepper Street S., Christiansburg, VA.  No meeting is held in July or December.  Google Map.

2012 Bee package purchases
Written by Elizabeth McCormick
Monday, 16 January 2012
Mark Chorba has negotiated with the supplier in Georgia about package purchases. The bees will be delivered here on April 17, 2012. That will drive up the member price to $76.00 for a three-pound package with queen. Any orders/deposits already placed under the lower price will be honored. Click this link, then scroll down to the bee package section: https://secure.west-point.org/nrvba/

By the way, this link is also where you can pay to join the NRVBA or renew your membership as well as sign up for the Beginning Beekeepers Course.
